What’s The Hardest Part Of Planning?

The ANC!
My advice- don’t suddenly decide to tackle your Ante-Nuptial Contract a week before the wedding. It’s a very hard thing to do because you are literally making plans for if you divorce- and when you’re planning your big day this is the very LAST thing you want to think about! When you get engaged, give yourselves a month or two to celebrate- and then handle the contract- BEFORE you start with your wedding plans. That way any arguments that arise from thinking along such unfortunately negative lines can be resolved!

Tips and Tricks – Hair, Teeth, Tanning…

If you would like to do something fairly “drastic”- like teeth whitening, a new hair style, hair colouring or even a sunbed slash “fake” tan- do it far enough in advance that if you aren’t entirely happy with it, you can still do something to “fix” it before the time.

The last thing you need is a sunburn, orange skin or bright green highlights (that should have been auburn) two days before you’re due to walk down the aisle!

A good idea is not to go too vastly different to begin with, you still want to look like you on your wedding day.

Ideas For My “One Day”

On flowers. . .

Whenever I look at any of my bridal magazines, or see something on TV, or even just think about what I’d like to do for myself- I’ve never seen myself with a traditional bridal bouquet. I always saw a clutch or draw-string bag covered in silk flowers instead. I love the silk flowers, and a handbag can hold things like lipsticks and extra hair clips as well as a hanky or tissues. . . and it could even be something to keep and use forever!

Tips and Tricks – Shoes

Buy your new wedding shoes well in advance and wear them in a little everyday so you’ll be comfortable on the day.

Make sure that with your shoes on, you’re not too much taller than your groom, unless you already are of course!

Check how tall you are with your shoes on as it could affect how you have your hair done- if your shoes make you the same height as your groom, you may not want a towering gawjiss bouffant hairdo!!

Ideas For My “One Day”

Turn the tables on the guests- have their cars decorated during the reception!
