Visiting Wedding Venues: Kleinkaap

We visited Kleinkaap in Centurion a couple of weeks ago, and were pleasantly suprised when we drove in the gate. We did not use the entrance that wedding guests would use, and were a little worried about how small it looked as we went up the drive.
Once inside though, we were rather impressed.
It has gawjiss gardens- even in July- with LOTS of birds!
Its within our budget.
They have two vintage cars that can be used on the day for photographs, and the place looks nice without having too many water features and statues and things all over the place.
The reception hall is HUGE if you open the doors in the middle that can divide the hall into two smaller venues. And whilst they do not have a chapel and do a lot of their weddings outside, one half of the hall could be used as a chapel and the other half as the reception area.
They have big fireplaces on both sides of the hall, and can handle plated or buffet dinners.
Their bar is nice and big too.
There were two downers for me with Kleinkaap though, and we gave it an 8.5 on our rating list. One was that they only have two overnight rooms on the premises, and I would dearly love for our parents not to have to drive anywhere after the party. And the other was that because they have limited indoor space apart from the two rooms and the reception hall, there may be a small problem with where to put the children that will be coming to the wedding.
The other problem is petty and personal… its that the venue was used earlier this year by a friend, and I would much rather use a venue that hasn’t already been used by someone else I know.
