Janine’s Cake Creations

In November, Chanty approached me with a request to bake the two hundred cupcakes she wanted for her picnic themed wedding… The following picture was what she wanted!

I was DYING to do it for her, but I just couldn’t take the time off my “normal” job to do them properly- and I was terrified I’d screw them up for her if I tried to handle such a big order for such an important day!
So I phoned a couple of my contacts and one of them referred me to Janine’s Cake Creations.

Here’s Janine’s feedback:

I baked the cake and 200 cuppies on friday evening, iced and decorated them, then delivered them on saturday morning around 10am, I have attached a picture of the finished cake for you to see, unfortunately I didnt take pictures of during the decorating process as I simply didnt have the time.

I met Chanty’s mom on Saturday and she was very happy with the cake and cup cakes etc..
She said it was beautiful.

So I am happy if they are happy!

I do hope Chanty was happy! I won’t hear from her till she gets back from her honeymoon- but I think it looks fabulous!

Engagement Shoot Ideas!

In keeping with the style of the engagement shoots shared by Rock ‘n Roll Bride, I am having so much fun making plans for our engagement shoot in January! Of course- I would love to have our engagement and wedding shoots featured on Rock ‘n Roll Bride… so I’ll submit it and hold thumbs!

We’re doing the shoot with the incomparable Jeanette Verster, who will also be doing our wedding photographs and the TTD, and we’re going to Newtown in Johannesburg for the “engagement” shoot. I just love all the graffiti and sculptures there.

Since my Glugs and I met online- through our blogs- our laptops will be going with us and will be in the photos, as will our cell phones I think… I’ll also bake a batch of cupcakes and I think I’ll be packing a couple of my feather boas. We’ll also have to incorporate our dancing into it somehow…

The rest I think I’ll leave up to madame Jenty.
I’ve never been to Newtown myself, but I’ve seen it in some TTD shoots and I think a Joburg photo walk went through there a while ago.

It’s going to be phenomenal!
